Carrot-nosed snowman

Tim got up very early that day. Because the previous night, he heard the news that the snow would come. He runs outside and couldn’t believe his eyes. Because the news was true. The snow was everywhere. He was very excited because his father promised that they could make a snowman. He turned back to home and waked his father up. He showed the snow and they started to make the snowman.

Firstly, they made a small snowball and made it bigger by rolling. They compressed the snow in order to make it stiffer. They made three big snowballs and put them one on the top of the other. They put the smallest one at the top of the snowman. Then they made the snowman’s eyes and mouth with coal.

Finally, they made a nose with a carrot. Tim wondered why they made the nose with a carrot and asked his father. His father answered that;

I don’t know why the people make the nose of snowmen with carrots. But I think because of carrot’s color. The orange represents innocence and purity. The snowmen are both innocent and pure.

You can make a snowman if it is winter. If it isn’t, you can make a snowman craft with a white paper. Do not forget making its nose orange.
