Why Do We Say Red Indıan to Native Americans?
There is a little red Indian whose name is Moonlight. This little red Indian is so curious she asks everything. One day Moonlight sits on the doorstep and as usual, she thinks something like why mandarin is orange or why my hair is black why my hair is not yellow and like this.
Then suddenly the little red Indian thinks that why people say to us red ındıan? Then she runs to her brother and asks: “ my brother I will ask a question to you. Why do people say red ındıan to us?” her brother thinks and says that: “ Firstly, our skin looks like a bit red so they call us like this and another reason is that when Christopher Colombus came to America he supposed that here was India so he gave name of Indıan to native Americans so even today Americans call us Indıan although we have no concern with Indıan.
But we are actually native American okay?”
Now we also learned that why people call natıve Americans as red Indıan did not we? Now we make a native American craft together by using cardboard, glue, and clipper.
