Lost rainbow
Marlow opened his eyes a sunny Saturday morning. He runs outside before breakfast as he has been doing every morning for two months. He stared at the sky for a while and turned back home in an unhappy way. Because he didn’t see the rainbow that morning, too.
He started to worry about the rainbow. Because he saw it two months ago for the last time. It can be lost and he must find it. He went outside near his best friend Eric. They talked about the rainbow and decided to go behind the huge mountain to look for it. They prepared their bags and be ready to journey. While they were going out, Marlow’s mother saw them and asked about their preparations. They told the case and she started to mention to the rainbow with a smiling face. Rainbows happen when sunlight and rain combine in a very specific way. The beams of sunlight separate into the colors we see in the rainbow as they enter a raindrop. Sunlight is actually made up of different colors that we don’t usually see.
When a beam of sunlight comes down to Earth, the light is white. But, if the light beam happens to hit raindrops on the way down at a certain angle, the different colors that make up the beam separate so that we can see them — in the form of a rainbow. So we can not see the rainbow because the season is summer and there is no rain. We will see it when it becomes spring or autumn. You can create your own rainbow crafts bu using colorful papers.
